HELP US BRING HOPE TO MOLDOVA'S FORGOTTEN GRANDPARENTS
This October, Heroes International is partnering with Daniil Tarasenco to bring food, firewood, medicine, and hope to elderly men and women living alone in the villages of Moldova before winter arrives.
For many seniors in rural Moldova, winter is a season of impossible choices. Living on small pensions, many must decide between buying food, heating their homes, or purchasing the medicine they need. Thousands have been left behind as younger generations moved abroad for work, leaving many elderly neighbors to face isolation alone.
This October, a volunteer team will travel to villages around Strășeni, Moldova, working alongside Heroes International's local staff, who have faithfully served these communities for more than twelve years. Together, we'll deliver practical assistance to at least 50 senior citizens, providing food, firewood, medical care, and something just as valuable—a reminder that they have not been forgotten.
Some seniors simply need groceries or firewood to make it through the winter. Others need life-changing medical care, including cataract surgeries that can restore sight and independence.
